July 22, 2019 – BOSTON – Today the Massachusetts Legislature passed its Fiscal Year 2020 (FY20) budget, which invests in programs and services across the Commonwealth. Funded at $43.1 billion, the budget makes major investments in education, housing, substance use disorder services, health care, and other areas while projecting a more than $476 million deposit into the Stabilization Fund – bringing the fund’s balance to more than $3 billion to safeguard the future of vital programs and services.

Please be advised that night work to replace the Cedar Street water main will begin next week. There will be detour signs in place to direct traffic around the construction.

Framingham– On Thursday, July 18, Senate President Karen Spilka (D-Ashland) will attend the I-90 Intermodal Forum to learn more about the state's plan to overhaul a portion of the Massachusetts Turnpike in Allston and its potential impact on the MetroWest region. According to the Massachusetts Department of Transportation, the project will include straightening a portion of Interstate 90 and other changes to accommodate development in Allston/Brighton.

The Hopkinton Community Preservation Committee is now accepting Draft Project Funding Applications for Fiscal Year 2021

Please submit your application no later than Friday August 9, 2019

Projects allowable under the CPA include the creation and preservation of open
space, the preservation of historic sites, the creation and preservation of affordable
housing and the creation and preservation of outdoor recreational facilities.

Wildlife Dr, Pheasant Hill Rd & Partridge Rd are scheduled to be paved on Thursday July 18.
Should it rain work will be done on Friday July 19. Work hours will be approximately 7am-5pm.

One lane of traffic will be open. Please expect delays and seek alternate routes when possible.
