Hopkinton Police Detectives seize large quantity of MDMA

Hopkinton Police Detectives seized over a kilogram of Methylenedioxymethamphetamine (MDMA) in Hopkinton on Wednesday September 27, 2017. MDMA is commonly referred to as “Ecstasy” or “Molly”. MDMA is a dangerous psychoactive drug most often associated with young people and commonly used at raves or dance parties. This seizure would have amounted to approximately 5,000 doses of MDMA with a street value of over $100,000.00.

The Town of Hopkinton seeks residents who are interested in serving on the Hopkinton Veteran’s Celebration Committee.

This Committee was established to remember and honor our fallen Vets with an annual Memorial Day Remembrance Celebration and to honor our local veterans with an annual Veteran’s Day Dinner.

The Hopkinton Veteran’s Celebration Committee consists of eight (8) members who are appointed to three (3) year terms.

Sheriff Koutoujian helps welcome new citizens Reception held at Armenian Heritage Park

BOSTON – Middlesex Sheriff Peter J. Koutoujian helped welcome newly naturalized American citizens during a reception at Boston’s Armenian Heritage Park on Thursday, September 21.

Sheriff Koutoujian led a procession of new citizens and their family members from the naturalization ceremony at Faneuil Hall to the park, where he and U.S. District Court Judge Indira Talwani offered remarks.

The letter emphasizes that the town of Hopkinton welcomes residents of all races, ethnicities, religions, abilities, gender identifications and sexual orientations. The letter also states that the town will "address and resist acts of discrimination, bullying and intimidation." View full letter below.
