Editorial: Supporting Jean Bertschmann for School Committee

By contributor,

The key to a thriving community like Hopkinton is found in the willingness of citizens to volunteer for committees and to serve as elected officials. Jean Bertschmann exemplifies that spirit and we are fortunate to have had her expertise and conscientiousness as a member of the School Committee since 2009. During that time, Jean has worked collaboratively with her fellow committee members, other town boards, and parents to enhance the system for all students.

By contributor,

I am supporting Jean Bertschmann for School Committee because she has the experience and knowledge needed to improve our excellent school district. I served with Jean on the School Committee for four years, and found her to be hard working, collaborative and responsive to feedback from the community. Jean has served two terms on the School Committee, was president of the HPTA and is a parent of children in the school. She understands the strengths and weaknesses of the all the schools and knows where to focus on improvements.
