Angela Adams, 92

Angela Adams, 92, of Danvers and formerly of Hopkinton, passed away Monday, January 19, 2015 at
Kaplan Family Hospice in Danvers. Born in Framingham, she was the
daughter of the late Santina and Biagio Ferro. She was the wife of the
late Clement W. Adams who passed away in 2005.

Angela is survived by her son, Paul Adams and his wife Kathy LeBaron
of Natick and 3 grandchildren, Lia, Emma and Sophie.

ESBC Prepares for Second Forum at January's Meeting

Tonight, January 20th, at 6:30 p.m., the Elementary School Building Committee meets at HCAM studios for their monthly meeting. Their main topic of the night will be the evaluation of the site plan matrix, aimed at comparing each of the proposed sites. They will also discuss the enrollment and education plan task force's progress, and make final preparations for their second forum on the 24th.

Hopkinton Garden Club Offers Scholarships

The Hopkinton Garden Club is soliciting applications for its 2015 Scholarship for Hopkinton residents with an interest in any of several fields related to the garden club’s mission.

Scholarships are available to:
• Applicants maintaining legal residence in Hopkinton, Massachusetts for at least one year, and
• High school or college students and any adult interested in pursuing a career in the fields of Horticulture, Floriculture, Landscape Design, Forestry, Conservation, Environmental Sciences and related fields.

JV's Roll to 3-0 Win over Northbridge

The JV squad defeated Northbridge by a score of 3-0, extending their unbeaten streak to 14 games. Hunter Temple, Brett McIntire and Kyle Canty all had goals. Kyle Schlicke had 3 assists, while Peter Mitchell and Tim Bloomer had one each. Jake Neary recorded his 3 shut out of the season en route to the victory.

Varsity Hockey team beats Bellingham

The Varsity Hockey team beat Bellingham by a score of 5-0 yesterday. Alex Kosheff led the way with two goals. Brandon Carty, Mike Messier and Everett Rolph had a goal each. Cam Finlayson chipped in 3 assists on the day and Nikolai Saporoschetz and Will Abbott had two assists a piece. Tim McGrath had two shut out periods, while Jake Neary saw his first Varsity action and persevered the shout out playing the third period.

Faith Community Church raised $67,500 to provide supplies to those caring for victims of Ebola in Africa

The leaders of Faith Community Church decided to use money collected during Christmas Eve services to support World Vision, a Christian humanitarian organization dedicated to working with children and families. $67,500 was collected to purchase materials and build 2,250 Ebola Caregiver Kits. These kits contain supplies for those who care for victims of Ebola.

Hopkinton Girls Track Lost First Meet Since 2006

They say all streaks are meant to come to an end, On Wednesday January 14th, another incredible streak ended as the Norton Lancers beat the Hopkinton Hillers Girls Indoor Track & Field team for the first time since 2006. The Hopkinton Hillers Girls Indoor Track Team won 144 meets in a row heading into Wednesday. Norton defeated Hopkinton 49-37 in a close, back and forth battle. Norton is off to their best start in school history as they are currently 7 and 0 on the season.
