Registration for the 2015 Boston Marathon reopened

Registration for the 2015 Boston Marathon will reopen on Monday, September 15 to all time qualifiers.

The B.A.A. will accept up to 8,000 additional qualifiers during the next phase of registration.

BOSTON - Registration for the 2015 Boston Marathon will reopen on Monday, September 15, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. ET and will continue through Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at 5:00 p.m. ET.

During this period, any eligible qualifier may submit an application for entry. Entry is not first-come, first-served during this period.

Flow Testing on Tuesday

Please be advised that two required fire hydrant flow tests will be conducted on Tuesday, September 16th from approximately 10:30 PM to 11:30 PM. One will be on Main Street by Walcott and the other will be on Hayden Rowe near the High School. Due to the large volume of water that will be flowing, you may notice some discoloration during and after the test. Please check your water before using it and you may need to run your cold water to help clear your lines.

Hillers Sweep Friday

As the week in sports at Hopkinton High wraps up, big wins for 3 teams made this a memorable Friday.

In Hopkinton on Field 10, the Field Hockey team beat Westwood 3-0 with 2 goals by Kayla Sullivan and 1 from Julia Macchi. Sara Freedman was stellar in net. The ladies travel on Wednesday to face the Mustangs in Medway.

The Hiller Football team opened up their season at David Hughes Stadium with a big 35-27 win over Wayland. Great start to the season! The Hillers will head to Upton on Saturday the 19th for an 1100am game at Nipmuc Regional.

Hiller Soccer Splits, Golf Wins Again

The Hiller Girls Soccer team lost to Medfield 2-0 on Thursday and will host the Lancers at Field 13 on Tuesday.

The Boys Soccer team got an early goal from Graham Kulig and it helped out for a 1-0 win over TVL rival Medfield. Greg Holler gets 2nd shutout of the year. The Hillers head out to Norton on Tuesday for their next match.

Keefe Tech - Marian Mustangs Football off to a winning start

FRAMINGHAM, MA - The Keefe Technical School and Marian High School cooperative football team kicked off their first season together with a win against Matignon High School at Dilboy Stadium in Somerville on Saturday, September 6.

The Mustangs, who received approval in April from the Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association (MIAA) to merge and become a cooperative football program, beat Matignon 28-6.

Board of Appeals Approves Lake Shore Drive Addition

The Board of Appeals met Wednesday, September 10th at 7pm. The original agenda called for public hearings of 68 East Main St, Lumber St/Hopkinton Mews, and 26 Lake Shore Drive. However, two requests for continuances were made. The property owner of 68 East Main St requested that her hearing be moved to December. Hopkinton Mews requested a continuance until September 24th, but the board saw that this meeting would be held at the start of Rosh Hashanah. The board voted to move this and all other public hearings scheduled for the 24th to October 8th.
