Hopkinton Summer Concert Series Lineup Announced

The Hopkinton Summer Concert Series welcomes new and returning performance acts this summer to the Hopkinton Common. The free concert series begins June 19 and runs through mid-August. Performances are from 5 to 7 p.m., with children’s entertainment from 4 to 5 p.m. New to the series is acoustic rock band Lower Level, who opens the series, Friday, June 19, with their blend of rock and roll, hip hop, and country.

Faith Community Church Fundraiser to Support Student Mission Trip

Faith Community Church’s Student Mission Team will host a Garage Sale/Plant Sale/Car Wash fundraiser on Saturday, June 6, from 8:00 AM-2:00 PM at Faith Community Church, 146 East Main Street, Hopkinton. All proceeds from the fundraiser will go towards this summer’s student mission trip to Grafton, West Virginia with World Servants.

Boston Marathon Bomber Sentenced to Death

2013 Boston Marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev faces the death penalty. According to reports Tsarnaev showed little emotion as the jury unanimously sentenced the terrorist to the death penalty. Tsarnaev was convicted last month on all 30 federal charges against him, including use of a weapon of mass destruction and the killing of an MIT police officer during the Tsarnaev brothers' getaway attempt. Seventeen of the 30 charges held against him had the possibility of the death penalty. At the end of the trial the judge ruled Tsarnaev to custody of U.S. Marshalls.

Pink Drink Night Tickets on Sale on May 15

Our ladies’ shopping and tasting night, renamed Pink Drink Night, is Wednesday, June 24, from 7:00-10:00 PM at St. John’s Parish Hall. This year, ladies can taste wine and specialty drinks generously provided by Clocktown Liquors in Ashland, as well as beer provided by Atlas Distributing and Clown Shoes Beer! Tickets go on sale online and at the Library on Friday, May 15.

Touch-A-Truck Returns on May 31

Hopkinton Public Library Foundation will host its 4th Annual Touch-A-Truck and Food Truck Festival on Sunday, May 31, 2015, from 11:00 AM-2:00 PM at the Hopkinton High School parking lot. Children can touch and climb on trucks and vehicles of all sorts, including Hopkinton’s fire trucks, construction vehicles, interesting cars, and more!

Drop-off times (at 168 Hayden Rowe St) are Tuesdays and Thursdays (3:00-5:00 PM) and Saturdays (1:00-4:00 PM) from May 23 through June 4. Call 508-435-4502 for more information.
